Robot Carnival - Cloud

If anybody hasn't seen "Cloud" from Robot Carnival, then I would highly suggest you watch this. Although it has nothing to do with polaroids in general, it has a rectangular frame with minimalist landscapes complete with ambient music. Something that I and a few other polaroid photographer...

Urban Exploring

Just came back from meandering through some abandoned factories and brick walls of the Holyoke area with my run-of-the-mill Sun 600 (I'll upload them by Monday). I have to ask if there's any members of the Polaroid community that know of any other abandoned locations in the state of Mass? I'm alread...

I Zone camera and film

So I spotted an I-Zone camera at a second hand store last month for only 50 cents. I decided to get it after I learned that there was expired film for these types of cameras lurking around on ebay. After finding an expired bunch that expired back in 2002 I tried my luck, only to find that this type ...

Best of luck. From what I remember, polaroid films that expired in the 50s through to the early 70s are usually dead as a doornail. But from the 1980s? I'd like to see what you come out with.

I've been away from this site for too long. Glad to be back.

Shooting with expired polaroid film

Apparently I've had a bad week on my hands. At first I tried shooting with a roll of Type 42 Roll film with my J66 which turned out to be very very dry. And today I received a pack of black and white type 107 pack film for my super shooter; it was also dried up. My biggest question for the polaroid ...

I saw from other people's rolls that their's expired back somewhere between 1980 and 1992. If I was going to buy roll film again, what dates should I look out for?

Well, you were right, the film was dried up. Only a few ink stains were left on the "negative" which left a weak imprints on the paper. While no fun came out of it, it was definitely a good learning experience. I guess if anyone plans to go out looking for polaroid roll film, be sure to ch...

J66 and type 42 roll film

I just found that I have a box of unopened Type 42 Roll Film and what is clearly labeled on the back is this: Use with all Polaroid land roll film cameras except the Model 88 series and the J66 and the J33. However, on this website, the type 42 roll film is listed as "compatible" with all ...

What about roll film that expired back in the 1950s or 1960s? Would it still work? I have a J66 camera that I wouldn't mind testing with this stuff.

Hello Hello
