It seems polaroid has started making film again! I like the price drop to $18.99, but I wonder why they still only have 8 photos per pack. I also wonder if it will be like the old polaroids that you shake to develop, or if it will be the same as the impossible film that has to be hidden from light...

Oh gotcha. I wonder why the price drop then, not that I'm complaining.

You NEVER shake integral film like Polaroid 600, Spectra, or SX70 to develop. Even with the old one, it's not gonna go faster and you can damage your image.

Still 8 photos per pack because of the battery but i-Type there isn't a battery, so we'd like an explaination for that yes. because I'm seen people managing to put 10 undeveloped frames (in the dark) into a i-Type cassette.

Also because i type caméra is made for 8 pictures as well, it's their business model...
Furthermore, it lower the risk of in pack chemical spreading due to a shock

The official explanation is that the new film is thicker than the old one. They had to reduce the number from 10 to 8 so it can fit.
