Equivalent focal length for Polaroid EE 100 Special lens?

Messagepar ioannicolae » sam. 05 mai 2012 / 01:36 am

Hi!

Does anyone know what is the equivalent focal lenght for 135mm of the Polaroid EE 100 Special lens? This camera have a 9.4/112mm lens. I know that are mathematic formulas to calculate my request but I do not need a precise answer. :)

Thanks in advance!

Hi there,

My feeling is that it must be close to 35mm. Otherwise I did not calculate but if you do so I would be interested to know your result.

Based on a simple visual comparison between a polaroid that was taken with the EE 100 camera and a digital photo taken with a full frame camera I think that the focal length is near 45mm.

Exactly, the focal lenth of 112mm Lens for EE100 camera equals "normal" focal lenth of the 135 (36x24) camera. So that means between 43 and 50mm.

Yes off course, you're absolutly right but as said Nicolas Boileau (1638-1711) in his Art Poétique:
What is conceived well is expressed clearly,
And the words to say it come easily.
