model 600 that use fp100c film ?

Postby NadavRotem » Fri 18 October 2013 / 11:04 am

Hello
I was checking out this great polaroid information site :
http://www.rwhirled.com/landlist/landhome.htm

and came across something that confused me :
if you press the CAMERAS tab and then on the PACKFILM tab you will be forwarded to a page that show all the cameras that use the fp-100c Film but when I scrolled all the way down to the buttom a Polaroid 600 is mentioned as a model that uses fp-100c film.

is this true ? is there a 600 model that uses the fp100c film ?

600SE :)

But is not actually a 600 or SX-70 box type camera. Is more like a pro camera that was named 600SE...don't ask why. Sometimes Polaroid named theirs items in a oddly way...

Hello Nadavrotem: when you scroll down to the end of this page, you arrive in a section dedicated to professional cameras. They use 100 type film as the little rectangle before the model's number indicates it:

Non-folding Pack Cameras (metal "Professional")

[100] 600: International Markets
Produced: 1978-19?? / International Markets

NOTE: Basically a modified Mamiya Press. Definitely a heavy-duty professional-grade tank of a camera....

[100] 600SE:
Produced: 1978-19?? / Original Retail: $525.00

Similar to 600 except:

Has interchangeable lenses; total of 3 different lenses are available

That means two models where available, 600 and 600SE.
It will be a source of confusion in the case you forget which section of this site (our Bible!) you're reading.

Are these models hard to find ? I will go look for one right now on Ebay, as it seems very interesting piece of camera!

Non, non, you'll find easily on tha Bay those models of 600SE but it's worth something especially added of good lenses.
