First pack of film a BUST !

Postby jebster » Thu 28 June 2012 / 01:11 am

Hi,

I just bought a Spectra Pro last week locally and bought a 20 pack of film off Ebay ..... 10/03 experation.

Just ran the first 10 through the camera , all turned out solid brown .... no image at all !

Is that a bad pack of film or am i doing something wrong? lol !

Oh well, i'll send the second 10 through later and see what happens.

Thanks,

Jeff

Hey Jeff !

You may have bought over expired polaroid films.

Most of the time, after a few years since expiration date, the films tends to turn browning or yellowish. At the beginning, it's really not a big deal but after almost 10 years, your films must be pretty dry and you will most probably get nothing much with them.

I suggest you buy later than 2007 Spectra/1200 films or new Impossible Project PZ films (PZ600 Silver Shade UV+ or PZ680 Color Shade Cool).

Cheers !
