Flash cubes for model 450 focused flash
Flash cubes for model 450 focused flash
Just bought some cubes (camera came with a single GE cube) but the connecting part is slightly different, so they don't fit. The GE one has little square corners taken out of the 'plus' shaped plug, as does the flash holder part, and the polaroid ones I bought 'suitable for all polaroud cameras' have solid plus shaped connectors. I have a pic I will post later for those who do not understand. The base of the GE is red, polaroid ones are yellow...

Sorry, hadn't seen your reply...
For the 450 camera, you have the 490 flashgun with, it uses flashcubes. They look like Magicubes, that only work with the Bigshot camera, as far as polaroid cameras are concerned.
The other type 100 cameras generally work with the 268 flashgun (with the bleu flash shield) that takes M3 bulbs, looking rather different than Magicubes or Flashcubes.

Dêche a écrit :You need flash cubes HIGH POWER, they are the only ones which works with 490 flashgun
there are 3 different flash cubes:
ordinary flash cubes, electrically fired, so there are wires visible in the socket. guide no. 25 (100 asa film, distance in metres)
high power flash cubes, electrically fired, there are also wires visible in the socket. gn 34, the ones you need
magicube or x-cube, mecanically fired, no wires. gn 25
they all have slightly different sockets, so you cannot fit one into the other.
there is a very interesting page here http://www.rwhirled.com/landlist/how2-packflash.htm
