What Polaroid is this?

Postby toxik56 » Fri 06 July 2012 / 00:42 am

Hey everyone,
I recently found this old Polaroid camera and was very interested since it appears to have a bell on it!
I have no idea what the bell is for, nor which model that is.
I've done research but still couldn't find anything!
Could anybody shed some light? :P

All I could find is the extreme resemblance to the Polaroid 800 Land, but that's about it :(
Cheers!

Hi,
don't know about the bell, though I don't think it's an original Polaroid accessory :D

The camera is a Polaroid roll film 80A or 80B, that was produced in the late 50s.
You can find some info on it here :

I wonder if the bell is some kind of 'egg' timer the owner added. I have not seen one like that but there are a few similar ones on the net.

I was thinking that too, I'll go back to the store soon to try and study the camera a bit more

After I posted, I looked at my model 800 and remembered that is the focus knob. Looks like someone replaced it with something stupid. I paid $3 for my model 800 so you can use that as a price reference... There is no film but they are really cool cameras to display.

I just went back yesterday and apparently it is a timer, I couldn't get it to tick but it clearly said "timer" engraved on the bell
