Shutter half open - Polaroid 1000

Postby vmc » Fri 05 January 2018 / 18:24 pm

Hello everyone.

I just bought a Polaroid 1000 and noticed that the shutter is half open. Before spending money on a film, I would like to know if this is normal or if the camera malfunctioning.

Thanks

UPDATE The shutter closed after I inserted an empty film pack. The polaroid works just fine.

Hi!
I think, if the circular part on the center of the lens isn't totally closed, you don't have to spend money on film cause there's certainly a problem with the shutter as you discovered.
Maybe you can find an empty film pack to see how the shutter works...
Bye

Thanks babas92. I will try to get one empty film and see what happens. I really hope it works, it is my first one.
