Many thanks for your comments and that you like such kind of railway stuff.

@ JJ: I added some explanation, many thanks!
@ Charles: It does not come out particulate matter, only coarse ingredients, quasi solid fuels ...
@ Hervé: I do not like nuclear powered locomotives, they are so sterile and you are not allowed to touch them.
@ Axakadam: Fuji FP-100B is easy to handle; I exposed it as ISO 160 and got good results.
@ Meaulne: It was in 1975 when I as a young boy became infected by steam engines ... and today I still love the sound and the smell of the smoke. Sometimes I try to enjoy this feeling by going to a special trip with one or two steam engines. But here at the HSB you can observe scheduled services every day (they have 25 steam engines).

Nice remembrance of a lost era, that reminds me my first(and last...) travel by steam train, it was in 1976 in Ardèche between Lamastre and Tournon (I found on www the target of my trip ... and the train seems always exists and it's named "le Mastrou" )
(I'm sure my father took a lot of pictures of that trip with its Foca ... but where are they ?)

Fantastic catch of the smoke... must be very difficult to realise such a balance.. Tip top !

Il suffirait d'y installer une chaudière nucléaire.

Plus petite que celle au bout des lignes électrifiées.

Beautiful black and white picture! But I don't think the exhaust pipe of this train is homologated anti-pollution!... ;)

Wonderful and nostalgic view ! Is this a kind of touristic train ? And btw this FP-100B gives great results !

Titre :
Le rêve des grands garçons
Description :
I'm starting a small series of my somewhat neglected project 'steam locomotives in Pola-action' and show photos from a trip to the narrow-gauge railways in the Harz Mountains this year in August.

The Harz, until the Middle Ages called 'Hart' ('mountain forest'), is a low mountain range in Germany. As the highest mountains in northern Germany, it lies at the intersection of Lower Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia. The Brocken is 1141 m above sea level and the highest mountain of the Harz.

Harzer Schmalspurbahnen GmbH (HSB) operates a 1000mm route network with three lines of a total of 140 km in length. On these three railway lines HSB runs diesel railcars and steam locomotive hauled passenger trains. https://www.hsb-wr.de/en/start/

The photo shows locomotive 99 236 (1'E1'), built 1955, accelerating its train from the station of Drei-Annen-Hohne. Mamiya 4.7/127; FP-100B exp. 04/2012; 1/250, f=11.
