Spectra Frog Tongue

Hello all. I'm currently expecting the arrival of my first package of Impossible Project PZ680 Color Protection film tomorrow. As I've been looking around, I see that Impossible also makes a longer frog tongue to allow for the image to be covered as it comes out. However, if I understand everything ...

SX-70 Hard to Open

Hi all, I just got my first SX-70 after lusting after it for a while. One thing that is concerning me is that when I go to open the camera, it requires some force to get the left side (where the locking arm is) to release and pop open. Locking it closed also takes a little extra effort to lock it do...

That's great to hear, thanks everyone! My main worry was that there was something chemically different that might cause a problem, but I'm glad to hear that there isn't.

Flying with Film

Hi everyone. I'm about to fly with instant film for the first time. I will be taking the Fuji FP-100C. Now, film always goes with me as a carry on, and I know that as long as film is under ISO 800 it's ON in the xray machine, but is there any special exception for instant film? I've tried finding th...

These are from Fuji FP100-C. These prints were done with a 3 filter, so nothing terribly dramatic. The nice thing is that the negative don't have that orangeish/brownish color that lots of color films have that wreak havoc with your contrast. It has much more of a pinkish purple color that's closer ...

Silver Gelatin Contact Prints

Hello all! I've really been bitten by the Polaroid bug. After putting some color film through the camera and bleaching negatives, it occurred to me that it would be fun to try contact printing from those negatives in the darkroom. The results have been gorgeous so far! http://farm9.staticflickr.com/...

This 250 was even better since it was a.) free and b.) in nearly mint condition. Battery mod has already been done on it so it takes AAA batteries instead of the old 4.5V. I just got my first film packs for it today (one color, one B&W) and it's loaded and ready to go. Just need to take photos s...

Thanks for the tips!

I had seen something about how you can get a paper negative if you wanted one. That inspires another question then: why would I want the negative?

What to Do Out in the Field

Hi all- I am a new owner of a Polaroid Automatic 250 Land Camera. This is my first adventure into the world of instant photography, and I'm very excited. However, there just one problem that I can't seem to find the answer to (and I apologize in advance if I chose the wrong forum). Generally I take ...
